ਮਿਰਤਕ ਕਉ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਨਿ ਸਾਸਾ ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਆਨਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
मिरतक कउ पाइओ तनि सासा बिछुरत आनि मिलाइआ ॥
Mirṯak ka▫o pā▫i▫o ṯan sāsā bicẖẖuraṯ ān milā▫i▫ā.

ਪਸੂ ਪਰੇਤ ਮੁਗਧ ਭਏ ਸ੍ਰੋਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
पसू परेत मुगध भए स्रोते हरि नामा मुखि गाइआ ॥१॥
Pasū pareṯ mugaḏẖ bẖa▫e saroṯe har nāmā mukẖ gā▫i▫ā. ||1||

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਦੇਖੁ ਵਡਾਈ ॥
पूरे गुर की देखु वडाई ॥
Pūre gur kī ḏekẖ vadā▫ī.
Behold the glorious greatness of the Perfect Guru.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ता की कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧā kī kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
His worth cannot be described. ||Pause||
ਦੂਖ ਸੋਗ ਕਾ ਢਾਹਿਓ ਡੇਰਾ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਿਸਰਾਮਾ ॥
दूख सोग का ढाहिओ डेरा अनद मंगल बिसरामा ॥
Ḏūkẖ sog kā ḏẖāhi▫o derā anaḏ mangal bisrāmā.
He has demolished the abode of sorrow and disease, and brought bliss, joy and happiness.
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
मन बांछत फल मिले अचिंता पूरन होए कामा ॥२॥
Man bāʼncẖẖaṯ fal mile acẖinṯā pūran ho▫e kāmā. ||2||
He effortlessly awards the fruits of the mind's desire, and all works are brought to perfection. ||2||
ਈਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਆਗੈ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੇ ॥
ईहा सुखु आगै मुख ऊजल मिटि गए आवण जाणे ॥
Īhā sukẖ āgai mukẖ ūjal mit ga▫e āvaṇ jāṇe.
He finds peace in this world, and his face is radiant in the world hereafter; his comings and goings are finished.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
निरभउ भए हिरदै नामु वसिआ अपुने सतिगुर कै मनि भाणे ॥३॥
Nirbẖa▫o bẖa▫e hirḏai nām vasi▫ā apune saṯgur kai man bẖāṇe. ||3||
He becomes fearless, and his heart is filled with the Naam, the Name of the Lord; his mind is pleasing to the True Guru. ||3||
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਾਗਾ ॥
ऊठत बैठत हरि गुण गावै दूखु दरदु भ्रमु भागा ॥
Ūṯẖaṯ baiṯẖaṯ har guṇ gāvai ḏūkẖ ḏaraḏ bẖaram bẖāgā.
Standing up and sitting down, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord; his pain, sorrow and doubt are dispelled.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੨੧॥
कहु नानक ता के पूर करमा जा का गुर चरनी मनु लागा ॥४॥१०॥२१॥
Kaho Nānak ṯā ke pūr karammā jā kā gur cẖarnī man lāgā. ||4||10||21||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਮੁਰਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਸ ਪਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਛੜਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂ, ਜਿੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਭੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਥੀ ਵੰਞਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਿਰਤਕ = (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ) ਮਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ। ਤਨਿ = ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਸਾਸਾ = ਸਾਹ, ਜਿੰਦ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ। ਆਨਿ = ਲਿਆ ਕੇ। ਮੁਗਧ = ਮੂਰਖ। ਸ੍ਰੋਤੇ = (ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ। ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ।੧।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਗੁਰੂ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ) ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ-ਜਿੰਦ ਪਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ) ਵਿਛੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਸ਼ੂ (-ਸੁਭਾਉ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਪ੍ਰੇਤ (-ਸੁਭਾਉ ਬੰਦੇ) ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੧।

ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ ਵੇਖ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
ਤਾ ਕੀ = ਉਸ (ਵਡਿਆਈ) ਦੀ।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਉੱਚਤਾ ਬੜੀ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।ਰਹਾਉ। ❀ ਨੋਟ: ਇਥੋਂ 'ਘਰੁ ੨' ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ੧੧ ਹੈ। ❀ ਨੋਟ: ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਜਿਗਿਆਸੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਾ ਕੇ, ਤੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੀੜ ਅਤੇ ਅਫਸੋਸ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ-ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਮੇਵੇ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਹੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉੇਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੋਗ = ਗ਼ਮ। ਬਿਸਰਾਮਾ = ਟਿਕਾਣਾ, ਨਿਵਾਸ। ਬਾਂਛਤ = ਇੱਛਤ। ਅਚਿੰਤਾ = ਅਚਨਚੇਤ।੨।
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਗ਼ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਢਾਹ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਅਚਨਚੇਤ ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੨।

ਉਹ ਏਥੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਏਦੂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਸੁਰਖਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਉਣੇ ਤੇ ਜਾਣੇ (ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ)। ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਭੈਅ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਈਹਾ = ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਆਗੈ = ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਹਿਰਦੈ = ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਿਚ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਣੇ = ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗੇ।੩।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਭਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਸੁਰਖ਼-ਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।

ਦੁੱਖ, ਤਕਲੀਫ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਨਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਉਠਦਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਬਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉੇਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਦਰਦੁ = ਪੀੜ। ਭ੍ਰਮੁ = ਭਟਕਣ। ਪੂਰ = ਪੂਰੇ, ਸਫਲ। ਕਰੰਮਾ = ਕੰਮ।੪।
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੀੜ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।੪।੧੦।੨੧।

मिरतक कउ पाइओ तनि सासा बिछुरत आनि मिलाइआ ॥
Mirṯak ka▫o pā▫i▫o ṯan sāsā bicẖẖuraṯ ān milā▫i▫ā.

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ता की कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧā kī kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
His worth cannot be described. ||Pause||
ਦੂਖ ਸੋਗ ਕਾ ਢਾਹਿਓ ਡੇਰਾ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਿਸਰਾਮਾ ॥
दूख सोग का ढाहिओ डेरा अनद मंगल बिसरामा ॥
Ḏūkẖ sog kā ḏẖāhi▫o derā anaḏ mangal bisrāmā.
He has demolished the abode of sorrow and disease, and brought bliss, joy and happiness.
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
मन बांछत फल मिले अचिंता पूरन होए कामा ॥२॥
Man bāʼncẖẖaṯ fal mile acẖinṯā pūran ho▫e kāmā. ||2||
He effortlessly awards the fruits of the mind's desire, and all works are brought to perfection. ||2||
ਈਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਆਗੈ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੇ ॥
ईहा सुखु आगै मुख ऊजल मिटि गए आवण जाणे ॥
Īhā sukẖ āgai mukẖ ūjal mit ga▫e āvaṇ jāṇe.
He finds peace in this world, and his face is radiant in the world hereafter; his comings and goings are finished.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
निरभउ भए हिरदै नामु वसिआ अपुने सतिगुर कै मनि भाणे ॥३॥
Nirbẖa▫o bẖa▫e hirḏai nām vasi▫ā apune saṯgur kai man bẖāṇe. ||3||
He becomes fearless, and his heart is filled with the Naam, the Name of the Lord; his mind is pleasing to the True Guru. ||3||
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਾਗਾ ॥
ऊठत बैठत हरि गुण गावै दूखु दरदु भ्रमु भागा ॥
Ūṯẖaṯ baiṯẖaṯ har guṇ gāvai ḏūkẖ ḏaraḏ bẖaram bẖāgā.
Standing up and sitting down, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord; his pain, sorrow and doubt are dispelled.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੨੧॥
कहु नानक ता के पूर करमा जा का गुर चरनी मनु लागा ॥४॥१०॥२१॥
Kaho Nānak ṯā ke pūr karammā jā kā gur cẖarnī man lāgā. ||4||10||21||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਮੁਰਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਸ ਪਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਛੜਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂ, ਜਿੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਭੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਥੀ ਵੰਞਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਿਰਤਕ = (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ) ਮਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ। ਤਨਿ = ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਸਾਸਾ = ਸਾਹ, ਜਿੰਦ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ। ਆਨਿ = ਲਿਆ ਕੇ। ਮੁਗਧ = ਮੂਰਖ। ਸ੍ਰੋਤੇ = (ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ। ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ।੧।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਗੁਰੂ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ) ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ-ਜਿੰਦ ਪਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ) ਵਿਛੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਸ਼ੂ (-ਸੁਭਾਉ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਪ੍ਰੇਤ (-ਸੁਭਾਉ ਬੰਦੇ) ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੧।

ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ ਵੇਖ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
ਤਾ ਕੀ = ਉਸ (ਵਡਿਆਈ) ਦੀ।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਉੱਚਤਾ ਬੜੀ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।ਰਹਾਉ। ❀ ਨੋਟ: ਇਥੋਂ 'ਘਰੁ ੨' ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ੧੧ ਹੈ। ❀ ਨੋਟ: ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਜਿਗਿਆਸੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਾ ਕੇ, ਤੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਦੂਖ ਸੋਗ ਕਾ ਢਾਹਿਓ ਡੇਰਾ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਿਸਰਾਮਾ ॥ ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੨॥

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੀੜ ਅਤੇ ਅਫਸੋਸ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ-ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਮੇਵੇ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਹੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉੇਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੋਗ = ਗ਼ਮ। ਬਿਸਰਾਮਾ = ਟਿਕਾਣਾ, ਨਿਵਾਸ। ਬਾਂਛਤ = ਇੱਛਤ। ਅਚਿੰਤਾ = ਅਚਨਚੇਤ।੨।
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਗ਼ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਢਾਹ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਅਚਨਚੇਤ ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੨।

ਉਹ ਏਥੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਏਦੂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਸੁਰਖਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਉਣੇ ਤੇ ਜਾਣੇ (ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ)। ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਭੈਅ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਈਹਾ = ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਆਗੈ = ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਹਿਰਦੈ = ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਿਚ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਣੇ = ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗੇ।੩।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਭਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਸੁਰਖ਼-ਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।

ਦੁੱਖ, ਤਕਲੀਫ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਨਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਉਠਦਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਬਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉੇਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
