ਹਮ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਮਤੀ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਜਨਮਾ ॥
हम मूरख मुगध अगिआन मती सरणागति पुरख अजनमा ॥
Ham mūrakẖ mugaḏẖ agi▫ān maṯī sarṇāgaṯ purakẖ ajnamā.

O my mind, vibrate and meditate on the Lord, the Name of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਹੋਰਿ ਤਿਆਗਹੁ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
गुरमति हरि रसु पाईऐ होरि तिआगहु निहफल कामा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gurmaṯ har ras pā▫ī▫ai hor ṯi▫āgahu nihfal kāmā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Under Guru's Instructions, obtain the sublime, subtle essence of the Lord; renounce other fruitless actions. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ਹਮ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਰਾਖੁ ਉਪਮਾ ॥
हरि जन सेवक से हरि तारे हम निरगुन राखु उपमा ॥
Har jan sevak se har ṯāre ham nirgun rākẖ upmā.
The humble servants of the Lord are saved by the Lord; I am worthless - it is Your glory to save me.
ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਵਡੇ ਕਰੰਮਾ ॥੨॥
तुझ बिनु अवरु न कोई मेरे ठाकुर हरि जपीऐ वडे करमा ॥२॥
Ŧujẖ bin avar na ko▫ī mere ṯẖākur har japī▫ai vade karammā. ||2||
I have no other than You, O my Lord and Master; I meditate on the Lord, by my good karma. ||2||
ਨਾਮਹੀਨ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਵਡ ਦੂਖ ਸਹੰਮਾ ॥
नामहीन ध्रिगु जीवते तिन वड दूख सहमा ॥
Nāmhīn ḏẖarig jīvṯe ṯin vad ḏūkẖ sahammā.
Those who lack the Naam, the Name of the Lord, their lives are cursed, and they must endure terrible pain.
ਓਇ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਭਵਾਈਅਹਿ ਮੰਦਭਾਗੀ ਮੂੜ ਅਕਰਮਾ ॥੩॥
ओइ फिरि फिरि जोनि भवाईअहि मंदभागी मूड़ अकरमा ॥३॥
O▫e fir fir jon bẖavā▫ī▫ah manḏ▫bẖāgī mūṛ akarmā. ||3||
They are consigned to reincarnation over and over again; they are the most unfortunate fools, with no good karma at all. ||3||

The Naam is the Support of the Lord's humble servants; their good karma is pre-ordained.

ਮੈਂ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ, ਬੇਵਕੂਫ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਦਾਨ ਸਮਝ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੋੜਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ!
ਮੁਗਧ = ਮੂਰਖ। ਗਿਆਨ = ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ। ਅਗਿਆਨ ਮਤੀ = (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ) ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ। ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ = ਸਰਣ-ਆਗਤਿ, ਸਰਨ ਪਏ। ਪੁਰਖ = ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ! ਅਜਨਮਾ = ਹੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ! ਹੀਨ = ਨਿਮਾਣੇ।
ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਾਂ, ਬੜੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਾਂ, ਬੇ ਸਮਝ ਹਾਂ (ਪਰ) ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਹਾਂ।

ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ। ਮੈਂ ਨਿਕਰਮਣਾ, ਨੀਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਾਪੁਰਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਅਕਰਮਾ = ਅ-ਕਰਮ, ਕਰਮ-ਹੀਣ, ਭਾਗ-ਹੀਣ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਸਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ, ਅਸੀਂ ਪੱਥਰ (-ਦਿਲ) ਹਾਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੰਦ-ਭਾਗੀ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੈ ਰਾਮਾ ॥
O my mind, vibrate and meditate on the Lord, the Name of the Lord.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਤੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ।
ਭਜੁ = ਸਿਮਰ। ਨਾਮੈ = ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ।
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ।

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰਸ ਨਿਸਫਲ ਕੰਮਾਂ-ਕਾਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
ਰਸੁ = ਆਨੰਦ। ਹੋਰਿ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਹੋਰ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਕਾਮਾ = ਕੰਮ ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਛੱਡੋ ਹੋਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, (ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ਹਮ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਰਾਖੁ ਉਪਮਾ ॥

ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਗੋਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਫਰਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ, ਨੇਕੀ-ਵਿਹੂਣ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੇ = {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ} ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ। ਨਿਰਗੁਨ = ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ। ਉਪਮਾ = ਵਡਿਆਈ, ਸੋਭਾ।
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੇ (ਦਰ ਦੇ) ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। (ਪਰ) ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ ਹਾਂ, (ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੀ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ (ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ) ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

ਤੇਰੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਹੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ! ਭਾਰੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਵਰੁ = ਹੋਰ। ਠਾਕੁਰ = ਹੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਵਡ ਕਰੰਮਾ = ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਮਦਦਗਾਰ) ਨਹੀਂ। ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਲਾਨ੍ਹਤ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਊਣ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਭਾਰਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਸਹਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹੀਨ = ਸੱਖਣੇ, ਖ਼ਾਲੀ। ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ = ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ। ਸਹੰਮਾ = ਸਹਿਮ, ਫ਼ਿਕਰ।
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਊਣਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿਮ (ਚੰਬੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ)।

ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਧੱਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨਿਕਰਮਣ ਮੂਰਖ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਹਨ।
ਓਇ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਓਹ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ = ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ। ਭਵਾਈਅਹਿ = ਭਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਕਰਮ = ਭਾਗ-ਹੀਣ ॥੩॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਬੰਦੇ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੰਦ-ਭਾਗੀ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥

ਅਧਾਰੁ = ਆਸਰਾ। ਧੁਰਿ = ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ। ਪੂਰਬਿ = ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ। ਕਰਮ = ਭਾਗ।
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ। ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਮਝੋ।

ਫਲਦਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ, ਹੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੱਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ = ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ = (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਫਲੁ = ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ॥੪॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥

The humble servants of the Lord are saved by the Lord; I am worthless - it is Your glory to save me.

नामहीन ध्रिगु जीवते तिन वड दूख सहमा ॥
Nāmhīn ḏẖarig jīvṯe ṯin vad ḏūkẖ sahammā.
Those who lack the Naam, the Name of the Lord, their lives are cursed, and they must endure terrible pain.
ਓਇ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਭਵਾਈਅਹਿ ਮੰਦਭਾਗੀ ਮੂੜ ਅਕਰਮਾ ॥੩॥
ओइ फिरि फिरि जोनि भवाईअहि मंदभागी मूड़ अकरमा ॥३॥

They are consigned to reincarnation over and over again; they are the most unfortunate fools, with no good karma at all. ||3||

ਮੁਗਧ = ਮੂਰਖ। ਗਿਆਨ = ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ। ਅਗਿਆਨ ਮਤੀ = (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ) ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ। ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ = ਸਰਣ-ਆਗਤਿ, ਸਰਨ ਪਏ। ਪੁਰਖ = ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ! ਅਜਨਮਾ = ਹੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ! ਹੀਨ = ਨਿਮਾਣੇ।
ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਾਂ, ਬੜੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਾਂ, ਬੇ ਸਮਝ ਹਾਂ (ਪਰ) ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਹਾਂ।

ਰਸੁ = ਆਨੰਦ। ਹੋਰਿ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਹੋਰ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਕਾਮਾ = ਕੰਮ ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਛੱਡੋ ਹੋਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, (ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥

ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਗੋਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਫਰਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ, ਨੇਕੀ-ਵਿਹੂਣ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੇ = {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ} ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ। ਨਿਰਗੁਨ = ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ। ਉਪਮਾ = ਵਡਿਆਈ, ਸੋਭਾ।
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੇ (ਦਰ ਦੇ) ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। (ਪਰ) ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ ਹਾਂ, (ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੀ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ (ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ) ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

ਅਵਰੁ = ਹੋਰ। ਠਾਕੁਰ = ਹੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਵਡ ਕਰੰਮਾ = ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਮਦਦਗਾਰ) ਨਹੀਂ। ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਲਾਨ੍ਹਤ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਊਣ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਭਾਰਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਸਹਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹੀਨ = ਸੱਖਣੇ, ਖ਼ਾਲੀ। ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ = ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ। ਸਹੰਮਾ = ਸਹਿਮ, ਫ਼ਿਕਰ।
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਊਣਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿਮ (ਚੰਬੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ)।

ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਬੰਦੇ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੰਦ-ਭਾਗੀ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਧੁਰਿ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖੇ ਵਡ ਕਰਮਾ ॥
The Naam is the Support of the Lord's humble servants; their good karma is pre-ordained.
ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਮਾਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿੱਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਅਧਾਰੁ = ਆਸਰਾ। ਧੁਰਿ = ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ। ਪੂਰਬਿ = ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ। ਕਰਮ = ਭਾਗ।
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ। ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਮਝੋ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨੰਮਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
The Guru, the True Guru, has implanted the Naam within servant Nanak, and his life is fruitful. ||4||2||
