Listen, O brides of the Lord: serve your Husband Lord, and contemplate the Word of His Shabad. The worthless bride does not know her Husband Lord — she is deluded; forgetting her Husband Lord, she weeps and wails. She weeps, thinking of her Husband Lord, and she constantly cherishes His virtues; her Husband Lord does not die, or go away. As Gurmukh, she knows Him; through the Word of His Shabad, He is realized. Through True Love, she merges with Him. She who does not know her Husband Lord, the Architect of karma, is deluded by falsehood — she herself is false. Listen, O brides of the Lord: serve your Husband Lord, and contemplate the Word of His Shabad. || 1 || He Himself created the whole world; the world comes and goes. The love of Maya has ruined the world; people die, to be re-born, over and over again. People die to be re-born, over and over again, while their sins steadily increase; without spiritual wisdom, they are deluded. Without the Shabad, the Husband Lord is not found; the worthless, false bride wastes her life away, weeping and wailing. He is my Beloved Husband Lord, the Life of the World — for whom should I weep? They alone weep, who forget their Husband Lord. He Himself created the whole world; the world comes and goes. || 2 || That Husband Lord is True, forever True; He does not die or go away. The ignorant soul-bride wanders in delusion; in the love of duality, she sits like a widow. She sits like a widow, in the love of duality; infatuated with Maya, she suffers in pain. She grows old, and her body withers away. Whatever has come, shall all pass away; through the love of duality, all suffer in pain. They do not see the Messenger of Death; they long for Maya, and their consciousness is attached to greed. That Husband Lord is True, forever True; He does not die or go away. || 3 || Some weep and wail, separated from their Husband Lord; the blind ones do not know that their Husband is with them. By Guru's Grace, they meet their True Husband, and cherish Him always deep within. She cherishes her Husband deep within herself — He is always with her, but the self-willed manmukhs think that He is far away. This body rolls in the dust, and is totally useless; it does not realize the Presence of its Lord and Master. Nanak, that soul-bride is united in Union; she cherishes her Beloved Husband forever, deep within. सुणिअहु कंत महेलीहो पिरु सेविहु सबदि वीचारि ॥
Suṇi▫ahu kanṯ mahelīho pir sevihu sabaḏ vīcẖār.
Listen, O brides of the Lord: serve your Beloved Husband Lord, and contemplate the Word of His Shabad.
ਅਵਗਣਵੰਤੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਮੁਠੀ ਰੋਵੈ ਕੰਤ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ॥
अवगणवंती पिरु न जाणई मुठी रोवै कंत विसारि ॥
Avgaṇvanṯī pir na jāṇ▫ī muṯẖī rovai kanṯ visār.
The worthless bride does not know her Husband Lord - she is deluded; forgetting her Husband Lord, she weeps and wails.
ਰੋਵੈ ਕੰਤ ਸੰਮਾਲਿ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਰਿ ਨਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
रोवै कंत समालि सदा गुण सारि ना पिरु मरै न जाए ॥
Rovai kanṯ sammāl saḏā guṇ sār nā pir marai na jā▫e.
She weeps, thinking of her Husband Lord, and she cherishes His virtues; her Husband Lord does not die, and does not leave.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
गुरमुखि जाता सबदि पछाता साचै प्रेमि समाए ॥
Gurmukẖ jāṯā sabaḏ pacẖẖāṯā sācẖai parem samā▫e.
As Gurmukh, she knows the Lord; through the Word of His Shabad, He is realized; through True Love, she merges with Him.
ਜਿਨਿ ਅਪਣਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਤਾ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਕੂੜਿ ਮੁਠੀ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੇ ॥
जिनि अपणा पिरु नही जाता करम बिधाता कूड़ि मुठी कूड़िआरे ॥
Jin apṇā pir nahī jāṯā karam biḏẖāṯā kūṛ muṯẖī kūṛi▫āre.
She who does not know her Husband Lord, the Architect of karma, is deluded by falsehood - she herself is false.
ਸੁਣਿਅਹੁ ਕੰਤ ਮਹੇਲੀਹੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਹੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥

He Himself created the whole world; the world comes and goes.
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਖੁਆਇਅਨੁ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ॥
माइआ मोहु खुआइअनु मरि जमै वारो वारा ॥
Mā▫i▫ā moh kẖu▫ā▫i▫an mar jammai vāro vārā.
The love of Maya has ruined the world; people die, to be re-born, over and over again.
ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ਵਧਹਿ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਹੂਣੀ ਮੂਠੀ ॥
मरि जमै वारो वारा वधहि बिकारा गिआन विहूणी मूठी ॥
Mar jammai vāro vārā vaḏẖėh bikārā gi▫ān vihūṇī mūṯẖī.
People die to be re-born, over and over again, while their sins increase; without spiritual wisdom, they are deluded.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਓ ਰੋਵੈ ਅਵਗੁਣਿਆਰੀ ਝੂਠੀ ॥
बिनु सबदै पिरु न पाइओ जनमु गवाइओ रोवै अवगुणिआरी झूठी ॥
Bin sabḏai pir na pā▫i▫o janam gavā▫i▫o rovai avguṇi▫ārī jẖūṯẖī.
Without the Word of the Shabad, the Husband Lord is not found; the worthless, false bride wastes her life away, weeping and wailing.
ਪਿਰੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਰੋਈਐ ਰੋਵੈ ਕੰਤੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੇ ॥
पिरु जगजीवनु किस नो रोईऐ रोवै कंतु विसारे ॥
Pir jagjīvan kis no ro▫ī▫ai rovai kanṯ visāre.
He is my Beloved Husband Lord, the Life of the World - for whom should I weep? They alone weep, who forget their Husband Lord.
ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇਓਨੁ ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ ॥੨॥

ਭੂਲੀ ਫਿਰੈ ਧਨ ਇਆਣੀਆ ਰੰਡ ਬੈਠੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ॥
भूली फिरै धन इआणीआ रंड बैठी दूजै भाए ॥
Bẖūlī firai ḏẖan i▫āṇī▫ā rand baiṯẖī ḏūjai bẖā▫e.
The ignorant soul-bride wanders in delusion; in the love of duality, she sits like a widow.
ਰੰਡ ਬੈਠੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਆਵ ਘਟੈ ਤਨੁ ਛੀਜੈ ॥
रंड बैठी दूजै भाए माइआ मोहि दुखु पाए आव घटै तनु छीजै ॥
Rand baiṯẖī ḏūjai bẖā▫e mā▫i▫ā mohi ḏukẖ pā▫e āv gẖatai ṯan cẖẖījai.
She sits like a widow, in the love of duality; through emotional attachment to Maya, she suffers in pain. She is growing old, and her body is withering away.
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਸੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਭਾਇ ਦੂਜੈ ॥
जो किछु आइआ सभु किछु जासी दुखु लागा भाइ दूजै ॥
Jo kicẖẖ ā▫i▫ā sabẖ kicẖẖ jāsī ḏukẖ lāgā bẖā▫e ḏūjai.
Whatever has come, all that shall pass away; through the love of duality, they suffer in pain.
ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਗੁ ਲੂਝੈ ਲਬਿ ਲੋਭਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
जमकालु न सूझै माइआ जगु लूझै लबि लोभि चितु लाए ॥
Jamkāl na sūjẖai mā▫i▫ā jag lūjẖai lab lobẖ cẖiṯ lā▫e.
They do not see the Messenger of Death; they long for Maya, and their consciousness is attached to greed.
ਸੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾ ਓਹੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੩॥
सो पिरु साचा सद ही साचा ना ओहु मरै न जाए ॥३॥
So pir sācẖā saḏ hī sācẖā nā oh marai na jā▫e. ||3||
That Husband Lord is True, forever True; He does not die, and He does not leave. ||3||
ਇਕਿ ਰੋਵਹਿ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੀਆ ਅੰਧੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਣੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
इकि रोवहि पिरहि विछुंनीआ अंधी ना जाणै पिरु नाले ॥
Ik rovėh pirėh vicẖẖunnī▫ā anḏẖī nā jāṇai pir nāle.
Some weep and wail, separated from their Husband Lord; the blind ones do not know that their Husband is with them.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥
गुर परसादी साचा पिरु मिलै अंतरि सदा समाले ॥
Gur parsādī sācẖā pir milai anṯar saḏā samāle.
By Guru's Grace, they may meet with their True Husband, and cherish Him always deep within.
ਪਿਰੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਲੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਦੂਰੇ ॥
पिरु अंतरि समाले सदा है नाले मनमुखि जाता दूरे ॥
Pir anṯar samāle saḏā hai nāle manmukẖ jāṯā ḏūre.
She cherishes her Husband deep within herself - He is always with her; the self-willed manmukhs think that He is far away.
ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਰੁਲੈ ਰੁਲਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਤਾ ਹਦੂਰੇ ॥
इहु तनु रुलै रुलाइआ कामि न आइआ जिनि खसमु न जाता हदूरे ॥
Ih ṯan rulai rulā▫i▫ā kām na ā▫i▫ā jin kẖasam na jāṯā haḏūre.
This body rolls in the dust, and is totally useless; it does not realize the Presence of the Lord and Master.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਪਿਰੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥
नानक सा धन मिलै मिलाई पिरु अंतरि सदा समाले ॥
Nānak sā ḏẖan milai milā▫ī pir anṯar saḏā samāle.
O Nanak, that soul-bride is united in Union; she cherishes her Beloved Husband forever, deep within herself.
ਇਕਿ ਰੋਵਹਿ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੀਆ ਅੰਧੀ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਹੈ ਨਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥

ਵਡਹੰਸ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਣੋਂ, ਹੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਓ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰੋ। ਗੁਣ-ਵਿਹੂਣ ਪਤਨੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਠੱਗੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੂਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਾਰ, ਨੇਕ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਵੈਰਾਗਮਈ ਅਥਰੂ ਵਹਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਮੀ ਨਾਂ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਉਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੂੜੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦੇ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ, ਝੂਠ ਨੇ ਠੱਗ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੁਣੋ, ਹੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੀਓ ਪਤਨੀਓ! ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਓ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰੋ।
ਮਹੇਲੀ = {महिला, ਮਹਿਲਾ} ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਕੰਤ ਮਹੇਲੀਹੋ = ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਓ। ਸਬਦਿ = ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਜਾਣਈ = ਜਾਣਏ, ਜਾਣੈ, ਜਾਣਦੀ। ਮੁਠੀ = ਠੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲੁਟਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਰੋਵੈ = ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੰਮਾਲਿ = ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ। ਸਾਰਿ = ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ = ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ। ਜਿਨਿ = ਜਿਸ ਨੇ। ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ = ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਕੂੜਿ = ਕੂੜ ਵਿਚ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਚ।੧।

(ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ ਲੈਣੀ (ਉਹ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦੀ, ਉਹ ਔਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲੁਟਾ ਬੈਠਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ) ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈਆਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਖਸਮ (-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਕਦੇ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਕੂੜ ਦੀ ਵਣਜਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਠੱਗੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਓ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ) ਸੁਣ ਲੈਣੀ-ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ।੧।
ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇਓਨੁ ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਖੁਆਇਅਨੁ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ॥ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ਵਧਹਿ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਹੂਣੀ ਮੂਠੀ ॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਓ ਰੋਵੈ ਅਵਗੁਣਿਆਰੀ ਝੂਠੀ ॥ ਪਿਰੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਰੋਈਐ ਰੋਵੈ ਕੰਤੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੇ ॥ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇਓਨੁ ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ। ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਮਮਦਾ ਨੇ ਜੀਵ ਰੂਪੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦੀ ਤੇ ਜੰਮਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਜੰਮਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਵਧਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ-ਵੀਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਹ ਠੱਗੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੋ, ਗੁਣ-ਵਿਹੂਣ ਕੂੜੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਪਤਨੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਮੂਹ ਆਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਤੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੈ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਉਪਾਇਓਨੁ = ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ = ਜੰਮਣ ਮਰਨ। ਖੁਆਇਅਨੁ = ਉਸ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ = ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ। ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ = ਮਰ ਕੇ ਜੰਮਣਾ ਹੈ। ਵਧਹਿ = ਵਧਦੇ ਹਨ। ਵਿਹੂਣੀ = ਸੱਖਣੀ। ਗਿਆਨ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ। ਮੂਠੀ = ਲੁੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਰੋਵੈ = ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਵਗੁਣਿਆਰੀ = ਔਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ। ਝੂਠੀ = ਝੂਠੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੀ ਹੋਈ। ਜਗ ਜੀਵਨੁ = ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ। ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਰੋਈਐ = ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ਵਿਸਾਰੇ = ਵਿਸਾਰਿ, ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ।੨।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ, ਤੇ, ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ (ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਤਾਂਹੀਏਂ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਜੀਵ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਿਚ) ਵਿਕਾਰ ਵਧਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਲੁਟਾ ਬੈਠਦੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ। ਆਪਣਾ ਜਨਮ ਅਜਾਈਂ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ; ਔਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ, ਤੇ, ਝੂਠੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ (-ਅਧਾਰ) ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਮਰਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਣਾ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਹੋਇਆ? (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ (ਭੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।੨।
ਸੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਓਹੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥ ਭੂਲੀ ਫਿਰੈ ਧਨ ਇਆਣੀਆ ਰੰਡ ਬੈਠੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ॥ ਰੰਡ ਬੈਠੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਆਵ ਘਟੈ ਤਨੁ ਛੀਜੈ ॥ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਸੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਭਾਇ ਦੂਜੈ ॥ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਗੁ ਲੂਝੈ ਲਬਿ ਲੋਭਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥ ਸੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾ ਓਹੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੩॥
ਸੱਚਾ, ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕੰਤ। ਨਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੇਸਮਝ ਪਤਨੀ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਬਣੀ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਦੁੱਖ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਘਟਦੀ ਤੇ ਦੇਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਝ ਆਇਆ (ਉਪਜਿਆ) ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਹੀ ਟੁਰ ਵੰਝੇਗਾ। ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ, ਬੰਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਤਮ੍ਹਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ, ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਂਈ। ਉਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਚਾ = ਸਦਾ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ। ਸਦ ਹੀ = ਸਦਾ ਹੀ। ਨ ਜਾਏ = ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭੂਲੀ ਫਿਰੈ = ਖੁੰਝੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਧਨ = ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਰੰਡ = ਨਿਖਸਮੀ, ਵਿਛੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ। ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ। ਆਵ = ਉਮਰ। ਤਨੁ = ਸਰੀਰ। ਛੀਜੈ = ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾਸੀ = ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਲੂਝੈ = ਝਗੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲਬਿ = ਲੱਬ ਵਿਚ।੩।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਞਾਣ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਦੀ) ਉਮਰ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਸਰੀਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਿਯਮ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕਿ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਇਥੇ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ (ਇਹ ਅਟੱਲ ਨਿਯਮ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੇ) ਦੁੱਖ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਗਤ (ਸਦਾ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਲੜਦਾ-ਝਗੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ (ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ) ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁੱਝਦੀ, ਲੱਬ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਭ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।
ਇਕਿ ਰੋਵਹਿ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੀਆ ਅੰਧੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਣੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ ਪਿਰੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਲੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਦੂਰੇ ॥ ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਰੁਲੈ ਰੁਲਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਤਾ ਹਦੂਰੇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਪਿਰੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ ਇਕਿ ਰੋਵਹਿ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੀਆ ਅੰਧੀ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਹੈ ਨਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਕਈ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਰੋਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਸੱਚਾ ਪਤੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਨੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਧਰਮਣਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਰੇਡੇ ਖਿਆਲ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਦੇਹ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ। ਨਾਨਕ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਕਈ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਰੋਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ, ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਹਨ।
ਇਕਿ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਇਕ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਰੋਵਹਿ = ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਿਰਹਿ = ਪਿਰ ਤੋਂ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ। ਅੰਧੀ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋ ਚੁਕੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਪਰਸਾਦੀ = ਪਰਸਾਦਿ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ। ਅੰਤਰਿ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਮਨਮੁਖਿ = ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਜਾਤਾ = ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਾਮਿ = ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ। ਜਿਨਿ = ਜਿਸ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਨੇ। ਹਦੂਰੇ = ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ। ਸਾ ਧਨ = ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ।੪।
ਕਈ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਐਸੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਦੀ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ-ਜਾਗਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਸਮਝਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਰੁਲਾਇਆ ਰੁਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ) ਮਿਲਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਐਸੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਪਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋ ਚੁਕੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੨।
