हम भीखक भेखारी तेरे तू निज पति है दाता ॥
Ham bẖīkẖak bẖekẖārī ṯere ṯū nij paṯ hai ḏāṯā.
I am just a poor beggar of Yours; You are Your Own Lord Master, You are the Great Giver.

Bahuṯe fer pa▫e kirpan ka▫o ab kicẖẖ kirpā kījai.
I was wretched; I wandered through so many cycles of reincarnation. Now, Lord, please bless me with Your Grace.
ਹੋਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਐਸੀ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥੨॥
होहु दइआल दरसनु देहु अपुना ऐसी बखस करीजै ॥२॥
Hohu ḏa▫i▫āl ḏarsan ḏeh apunā aisī bakẖas karījai. ||2||
Be merciful, and grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; please grant me such a gift. ||2||

ਹਮ = ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ। ਭੀਖਕ = ਮੰਗਤੇ। ਭੇਖਾਰੀ = ਮੰਗਤੇ। ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ = ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ, ਸੁਤੰਤਰ। ਦਾਤਾ = ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਦੈਆਲ = ਦਇਆਵਾਨ। ਕੰਉ = ਨੂੰ। ਰਹਉ = ਰਹਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਰਹਾਂ। ਰੰਗਿ = ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਰਾਤਾ = ਰੰਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ।੧।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ (ਦਰ ਦੇ) ਮੰਗਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੰਗਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਹ (ਤਾ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ।੧।

ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਉਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਇੱਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਹੇਤੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੇਤੂ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਠਹਿਰਾਓ।
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ = ਕੁਰਬਾਨ। ਜਾਉ = ਜਾਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਵਿਟਹੁ = ਤੋਂ। ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ = ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈਂ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਬਹੁਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਪਏ ਕਿਰਪਨ ਕਉ ਅਬ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ ਹੋਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਐਸੀ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥੨॥
ਮੈਂ, ਕਮੀਨੇ ਨੇ, ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਣੇਰੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਕੱਟੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰ। ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ, ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਵਿਖਾਲ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਐਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਦਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ।
ਫੇਰ = ਗੇੜ। ਕਿਰਪਨ ਕਉ = ਕੰਜੂਸ ਨੂੰ, ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ। ਕੀਜੈ = ਕਰ। ਬਖਸ = ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼।੨।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ (ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗੇੜ ਪੈ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ, ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ। ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼।੨।

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਕਵਾੜ (ਪੜਦੇ) ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਈਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਘਰ ਕਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੂਆ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਤੀਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਭਨਤਿ = ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਰਮ ਪਟ = ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਪੜਦੇ। ਪਰਸਾਦੀ = ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ। ਜਾਨਿਆ = ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ। ਸਾਚੀ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ। ਲਿਵ = ਲਗਨ। ਭੀਤਰਿ = ਅੰਦਰ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਸਿਉ = ਨਾਲ।੩।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਤੀਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।੧।੯। ❀ ਨੋਟ: ਅੰਕ ੧ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ 'ਘਰੁ ੪' ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਲ ੯ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ।

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਸਦਕਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਮ ਭੀਖਕ ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ॥ ਹੋਹੁ ਦੈਆਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨ ਕੰਉ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਉ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਡਾਂ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਤੇ ਮੰਗਤਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈਂ। ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਗਤੇ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ!
ਹਮ = ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ। ਭੀਖਕ = ਮੰਗਤੇ। ਭੇਖਾਰੀ = ਮੰਗਤੇ। ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ = ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ, ਸੁਤੰਤਰ। ਦਾਤਾ = ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਦੈਆਲ = ਦਇਆਵਾਨ। ਕੰਉ = ਨੂੰ। ਰਹਉ = ਰਹਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਰਹਾਂ। ਰੰਗਿ = ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਰਾਤਾ = ਰੰਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ।੧।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ (ਦਰ ਦੇ) ਮੰਗਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੰਗਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਹ (ਤਾ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ।੧।
ਹੰਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ਸਾਚੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਟਹੁ ॥ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਏਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਉਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਇੱਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਹੇਤੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੇਤੂ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਠਹਿਰਾਓ।
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ = ਕੁਰਬਾਨ। ਜਾਉ = ਜਾਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਵਿਟਹੁ = ਤੋਂ। ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ = ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈਂ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਬਹੁਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਪਏ ਕਿਰਪਨ ਕਉ ਅਬ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ ਹੋਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਐਸੀ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥੨॥
ਮੈਂ, ਕਮੀਨੇ ਨੇ, ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਣੇਰੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਕੱਟੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰ। ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ, ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਵਿਖਾਲ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਐਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਦਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ।
ਫੇਰ = ਗੇੜ। ਕਿਰਪਨ ਕਉ = ਕੰਜੂਸ ਨੂੰ, ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ। ਕੀਜੈ = ਕਰ। ਬਖਸ = ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼।੨।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ (ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗੇੜ ਪੈ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ, ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ। ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼।੨।
ਭਨਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਰਮ ਪਟ ਖੂਲ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥ ਸਾਚੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਹੈ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੩॥੧॥੯॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਕਵਾੜ (ਪੜਦੇ) ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਈਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਘਰ ਕਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੂਆ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਤੀਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਭਨਤਿ = ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਰਮ ਪਟ = ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਪੜਦੇ। ਪਰਸਾਦੀ = ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ। ਜਾਨਿਆ = ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ। ਸਾਚੀ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ। ਲਿਵ = ਲਗਨ। ਭੀਤਰਿ = ਅੰਦਰ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਸਿਉ = ਨਾਲ।੩।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਤੀਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।੧।੯। ❀ ਨੋਟ: ਅੰਕ ੧ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ 'ਘਰੁ ੪' ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਲ ੯ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ।
